Your Rights Under Australian Consumer Law
All Diamond Lab jewellery comes with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
- Minor problems – If an issue is minor and can be fixed, we will repair it at no cost within a reasonable timeframe. If not fixed in time, you may choose a replacement or refund.
- Major problems – If the problem is major (unsafe, not as described, unfit for purpose, or cannot be repaired within a reasonable time), you may choose a refund, replacement, or keep the product and receive compensation for any drop in value.
- Services – If our service has a minor issue, we will correct it at no cost. If not corrected, you may cancel the service and request a refund for the unused portion. If the issue is major, you may cancel immediately for a full refund.
- Compensation – You may also be entitled to compensation for any reasonably foreseeable loss or damage caused by a problem with our goods or services.

Diamond Lab Lifetime Manufacturing Warranty
Engagement Rings & Wedding Bands
- Coverage: Lifetime Manufacturing Warranty from the date of receipt.
- What’s Covered:
Structural manufacturing defects in metalwork
Uneven or loose settings detected at pick-up or during servicing
Rhodium plating irregularities identified at pick-up or servicing
Chips or scratches in stones identified at the time of collection
Fine Jewellery – Earrings, Chains, Bracelets & Pendants
- Coverage: 2-Year Manufacturing Warranty from completion date.
- What’s Covered: Visible structural defects appearing within the first months of wear.
- Remedy: Defective items repaired or replaced at no cost. After warranty expiry, pieces may be assessed individually for repair or replacement costs.
Precious Gemstones – Lab Diamonds, Moissanite & Sapphires
- Coverage: Lifetime Manufacturing Warranty on all stones, covering the characteristics confirmed at time of purchase.
- Excludes: Wear-and-tear damage, mishandling, theft, chipping, cracking, or loss caused by impact.
Claiming Your Warranty
- Contact Us – Reach out via our Contact Page or visit our Perth showroom.
- Return Options – Arrange drop-off at our showroom or return via insured post. All returns must include original packaging, certificates, invoice, and proof of purchase.
- Postage Deposit:
$40 AUD two-way postage (within Australia)
$200 AUD two-way postage (international)
Deposit is refunded if the fault is found to be a manufacturing defect. - Assessment: Our jewellers will conduct a complimentary inspection to determine if the issue is covered.
- Repair or Replacement: If under warranty, repairs are free of charge. If not covered, a quote will be provided before proceeding.
Important: Any repair or service performed by an unauthorised jeweller will void the Diamond Lab Lifetime Manufacturing Warranty.
What’s Not Covered – Normal Wear & Tear
All fine jewellery is subject to normal wear. Our warranty does not cover:
- Dents, abrasions, or scratches in metal caused by daily wear
- Chips, cracks, or breakages in gemstones from knocks or accidents
- Corrosion from chemicals such as chlorine or cleaning agents
- Discolouration from cosmetics, chlorine, or heat exposure
- Worn or bent claws and bands over time
- Prongs catching or loosening due to daily wear
- Gemstone loss resulting from impact or neglected maintenance
Jewellery Care
To keep your jewellery looking flawless:
- Remove rings before gym, sport, gardening, or household chores.
- Avoid exposure to harsh chemicals, cleaning products, and chlorinated pools.
- Book a yearly professional clean and inspection at Diamond Lab to ensure settings remain secure.
- Store jewellery in a fabric-lined box when not worn.
