Buying an engagement ring or custom piece of jewellery is a big moment—and it should feel exciting, not overwhelming. At Diamond Lab, we take pride in offering a process that’s simple, transparent, and luxurious from start to finish.

Whether you’re ordering online or visiting our Perth showroom, here’s what you can expect.

Step 1: Consultation (In-Person or Online)

We begin with a personal consultation, tailored to your needs. You can visit our Perth showroom or book a virtual appointment to speak with our design team from anywhere in Australia.

What we cover:

• Your budget and timeline

• Preferred stone: Lab Diamond, Moissanite

• Cut shapes you love (Oval? Pear? Cushion?)

• Design inspiration or favourite styles

• Metal preferences (white, yellow, rose gold or platinum)

If you don’t know where to start, don’t worry. Our team will walk you through the options with visual examples.

Step 2: Stone Selection

Once we know your vision, we source stones that match your goals—both in size and quality.

We’ll show you:

• Real photos and videos of each option (not stock images)

• IGI certificates for lab diamonds

• Shape, dimensions, and light performance comparisons

• Side-by-side options at different price points

Whether you choose a brilliant round moissanite or a 2.5ct radiant lab diamond, you’ll make an informed decision with confidence.

Step 3: CAD Design & Quote

Once the stone is selected, we move into the design stage.

We create a CAD (computer-aided design) render of your ring, built to your exact specs:

• Band width, height, and profile

• Claw prongs only (we don’t use old-fashioned rounded prongs)

• Setting style: Hidden Halo, Three-Stone, Cathedral, etc.

• Engraving, accent stones, or personal touches

You’ll receive a 360° digital model to review and approve before we proceed.

Along with the design, we provide a clear quote—with no surprise fees.

Step 4: Crafting by Hand

After your approval and deposit, we begin handcrafting your ring.

At Diamond Lab:

• Every ring is made-to-order by skilled Australian jewellers

• We don’t use stock settings or generic mounts

• Each piece is built to fit your chosen stone perfectly

This process typically takes 4 to 6 weeks, depending on the complexity of the design and setting.

We’ll keep you updated with progress milestones—and you’re always welcome to reach out with questions.

Step 5: Final Polish & Delivery

Once complete, your ring is:

• Polished and inspected under magnification

• Securely packaged in our signature luxury box

• Accompanied by your stone certificate and care guide

You can choose to:

• Pick it up in our Perth showroom

• Or have it shipped fully insured anywhere in Australia
